North Ogden – Roger J. Williams passed away on June 23, 2013.He was born October 6, 1945 in Woodland Hills, CA to Dorothy Van Sickle and Phillip Williams.Roger served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.He received Bachelor degrees from Weber State University.
He married Julie Stephens on May 24, 1984 in Lake Tahoe, NV.Roger and Julie later solemnized their marriage in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Dec. 11, 1995 for all time and eternity.
Roger had a good work ethic and was a hardworking man; providing the best life for his family. He respected the people who worked for him and gave recognition where it was due to his crew.
He enjoyed radio remote control flying, building his own model air planes, reading, race cars/drag racing, fishing, working on cars and taught himself to play the guitar.
Roger is survived by his wife of 29 years, Julie; two sons, Dax Carl Williams (fiancée Sarah Magner), Shea Phillip (Lindsey) Williams and a grandson, Damon Roger Williams, on the way.Roger also leaves behind his best loved dogs, Baxter and Bailey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 26 th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service from 10 to 10:50 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations, in Roger’s name, may be made to any adoption agencies that help dogs.
