Wayne was respected as a man of honesty and integrity, values he always tried to teach in his home. He was an active member of the LDS church and served in numerous callings including Mmen president, Sunday School superintendent, ward clerk and librarian.
His favorite pass times were woodworking, gardening and caring for his animals, especially his dog Mandy and his ponies. He was a very talented carpenter and often made special treasures for his children and grandchildren. He loved to travel and especially enjoyed taking his sons to Alaska.
Marlene, his wife of 60 years, passed away September 30, 2009. Three years later Wayne found joy again and married Eulalia Mercedes Casias Madsen October 6, 2012 in East Garland. Mercy and her family have been a caring and loving support for him.
