Why are we paying 40-60 cents a gallon more for gas that is selling for $3.25 a gallon in Missouri and Arkansas? Crude oil is below $95 a barrel and gas is
$2.74 at market price. In case people haven't noticed, prices in northern Utah are at $3.65 to 3.83 a gallon, nothing lower, which indicates price control.
We have been lead to believe that we can't do anything about it. Wrong! Blast the governors office, the attorney general's office and the Consumer Protection Agency with emails, letters, or phone call demanding an investigation into oil prices. It worked in 1985 when between 1983 and 1985 we were ripped of for $52 million.
Then-Attorney General Van Dam went after the oil barons and got them into court. Fines were levied against the four major refiners. It got prices under control.
If you want to go on paying for big bonuses, expensive vacations and summer homes for oil executives just go on believing you can't do anything.
