OGDEN -- World Vision and The Ogden Seventh-day Adventist Church are co-sponsoring a concert by award-winning baritone Steve Darmody at 11 a.m. July 6 at the Ogden Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2185 Taylor Ave.
"Steve's voice has been called 'the milk chocolate voice of gospel music,' " states a church news release.
Twenty years ago, Darmody and World Vision began a partnership centered on a passionate concern for children in need. Darmody has connected more than 3,000 caring families with needy children from around the world, the release states.
He appears often on such networks as TBN, 3ABN, HopeTV and many others around the country.
He has performed at venues ranging from the Pentagon and the U.S. Senate to the Crystal Cathedral and prestigious Carnegie Hall.
He has recorded eight CDs, and his full-time ministry currently takes him around the world as president of the Morning Song Music Group.
Everyone is welcome to attend the concert. No admission will be charged, but an offering will be taken.
"Come away from your troubles for an hour and enjoy the goodness of the Lord," states the news release.
