Ray and Edna Postel of Ogden celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 19. A private family dinner was hosted in their honor at the Timbermine Restaurant & Steak House. They also celebrated the occasion with family and friends on June 26.
They were married in Ogden on June 19, 1953.
Born in Ogden, he attended Ogden High School and retired from Ogden City Water Department.
She was born in Douglas, Ariz., and raised in Mill City, Ore. She came to Ogden when her mother remarried. She retired from Stop & Shop in Ogden.
A happy occasion happened on their 43rd wedding anniversary — a great-grandson, Raymond S. Postel, was born. Six months later, they were given the opportunity to raise him and later adopted him.
