AVON — Authorities say a farmer baling hay crashed his tractor and was injured.

The Herald Journal reports that 31-year-old Rusty Lofthouse was taken to a hospital with cuts, broken bones and internal injuries.

Cache County Sheriff Lt. Brian Locke says Lofthouse was operating a tractor Saturday when it crashed through a fence and rolled down a ravine.

A neighbor spotted the overturned tractor and rushed to the farmer’s aid.

Lofthouse is an assistant coach for wrestling and football at Mountain Crest High School.

Head football coach Mark Wootton says team members completed a home-improvement project Monday for the Lofthouse family.
