TREMONTON -- A second victim from a deadly accident in Tremonton has died of her injuries.
The victim was identified as Amanda Brown, 16, of Brigham City. She died at University of Utah Hospital on Wednesday.
The accident on June 28 also took the life of 16-year-old Tyler Stuart, of Brigham City.
Around 4:15 p.m. a white GMC pickup truck carrying Brown and Stuart was approaching the merger of southbound Interstate 15 and eastbound Interstate 84. The truck veered off the right side of I-15 and overcorrected, sending the vehicle rolling off the other side into I-84.
Brown and Stuart were ejected from the vehicle.
Stuart died at the scene, and Brown was taken to Bear River Valley Hospital and later flown to University of Utah Hospital. The 18-year-old driver of the truck had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown to Intermountain Medical Center in serious condition.
Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Lee Perry said neither passenger was believed to have been wearing a seat belt, and he was unsure if the driver was wearing one.
