Darrell Edward Mikesell of Morgan celebrated his 80th birthday with family and friends at a barbecue at his home.

The sixth child of Joseph and Martha Mikesell, he was born on July 4, 1933, in Porterville, Morgan.

He graduated from Morgan High School and was drafted into the Army. He served during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.

He married his sweetheart and love of his life, Arnell Judd, on Jan. 14, 1956.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired after 33 years.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoys spending time with his family, watching old Westerns, football and fishing.

His seven children and spouses are Bobbi and Leon Medina, Stan and Vicky Mikesell, Loretta and Roger (deceased) Webber, Kevin Mikesell (deceased), Betsy Garr, Mary Ann and Phil Rock, and Arnold and Shauna Mikesell.



He has 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
