I'd like to just take a moment and recognize an indeed selfless act of compassion from what some would say came from surprising group of men. Early in the morning, I was sitting on my porch with my three children when a pair of men approached me. I am a single mother of three and I will admit sometimes the yard work and other house chores suffer because I am so busy with my three young children.
The two noticed this in passing, and stopped to assist me. They introduced themselves as members of a gang that just wanted to show the community that they care and are not just images that have been portrayed of them. They announced that they have been walking the city just looking for other citizens who appear to be struggling who they may help.
They are doing what they can to contribute to this city of Ogden and its citizens; indeed they did help me, a single mother of three, with anything that appeared to be neglected. They mowed, raked, and watered my front and back yard. They pulled the weeds from my flower bed. They even washed my car and trimmed my rose bushes just out of the kindness of their hearts. I am so grateful and humbled by the generous warm hearted acts of these men.
