LOGAN -- A former emergency room technician at Logan Regional Hospital has been sentenced to five years to life in prison after pleading guilty to performing a sex act on an unconscious patient.
Hal Weston of Laketown pleaded guilty in May to a charge of forcible sodomy.
The (Logan) Herald Journal reports 47-year-old Weston was sentenced Tuesday.
Weston was arrested in January 2012 after a police officer said he caught him in the act of performing oral sex on an unconscious man behind a curtain in the emergency room.
Cache County Attorney James Swink says DNA tests confirm Weston's saliva was found on the patient.
