OGDEN — The Weber County Fire Safety Association and AAA Utah’s Ogden branch are taking time to educate the public about fire safety during one of the driest times of the year.

AAA Utah will present a $5,000 check to WCFSA at an event Wednesday as part of its Rescue Today program. The money will help emergency first responders in their training.

Safety demonstrations will include handling fire pits; campfires; charcoal fire and propane safety; and hazardous situations.

The event will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the AAA Utah Ogden Branch, 5705 S. Harrison Blvd.
