OGDEN — The library bond election and the Ogden pools vote may have ended in victory for supporters of both last month, but the final, official results were not presented to the county until Tuesday.
Weber County Elections Director Jennifer Morrell and her team have put the final tally of county voter turnout at 31 percent, which means that 31,979 voters out of 102,865 cast their ballots in the library bond election. The library bond was voted in at 54.45 percent against 45.55 percent.
Morrell reported that 691 voted at polling locations, and 31,288 mailed or handed in their ballots.
The pool vote came in at a slightly lower, but still impressive, 29 percent turnout, breaking down to 8,645 voters out of a possible 29,553 eligible to vote in Ogden participating in the election.
