If you don't have a permit to hunt buck deer in Utah this fall, you can still get one -- more than 3,200 permits are still available to hunt buck deer in Utah this fall.

This year's big game draw is over, but more than 1,400 general archery permits, and more than 1,800 general muzzleloader permits, were not taken in the draw. The remaining permits go on sale on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Permits are still available for nine of Utah's 30 deer hunting units, most of which are located in Northern Utah. You can see which units have permits online at

Permits can be purchased on the Division of Wildlife Resources website.
