LOGAN -- A Logan man has been sentenced to a year in jail after attacking his brother with a utility knife when he was angered by a Facebook post.

Deputy Cache County Attorney Spencer Walsh says 20-year-old Sergio Arce and friends went to the home of Arce's brother in January after reading the posting and stabbed and kicked him several times.

The brother was hospitalized with a collapsed lung.

Arce pleaded guilty in May to an aggravated assault charge, and on Monday a judge sentenced him to one year in jail with credit for 79 days served. Arce is also required to complete anger-management and therapy and pay almost $12,000 in restitution.

The Herald Journal reports  two other man are facing charges in the attack.
