SALT LAKE CITY -- A West Valley couple who were lost and stranded on Mt. Olympus in the Wasatch mountains has been rescued.
KTVX-TV reports Anthony Garcia and Mariah Cox were rescued around 5:30 a.m. Monday after spending almost 14 hours on the mountain.
The couple said they set out around 4 p.m. Sunday, and ran out of water within a few hours.
Cox says after about five hours, the couple realized they were lost and called 911 from a cellphone when they couldn't find the trail.
Unified Police Department Lt. John Barker says search and rescue teams started looking for the couple Sunday night and brought them off the mountain Monday morning.
