BOISE, Idaho -- A Utah man and his son who have been buying Idaho lottery tickets together for years say they always knew they'd hit it big someday. Now, they're going to share a $1 million Powerball jackpot.

Mike Middlemiss of West Valley City and his son, Chris Middlemiss of South Jordan, bought the winning ticket on Chris' birthday last month at the Kwik Shop in Malad City near the Idaho-Utah line.

Chris is a paramedic and his wife is attending school. He says they plan to use their share to pay off some student loans and hope to make a down payment on a new home. His dad says he intends to save for retirement.
