Q: Is "Army Wives" renewed for another season? When watching the finale last night, they seemed to tie up a lot of loose ends. There certainly was room to continue, but I kind of got the feeling that it might be done.
A: Too soon to say. No decision has been made on the show's future.
Q: Has the series "Sherlock" on PBS been canceled? The last episode had Sherlock jumping off a building and dying. But there was his image at the cemetery. Is he alive or dead? Will there be more episodes?
A: He'll be alive when new "Sherlock" episodes air on PBS's "Masterpiece Mystery!" in 2014.
Q: I was wondering what the pay scale is for the camera operators on reality shows such as "Deadliest Catch," ''Swamp People," ''Ice Cold Gold," ''Ice Road Truckers," ''Ax Men" and other reality shows. They seem to be risking bodily harm or their lives for these shows. Also, have any of these camera operators lost their lives filming or saved the life of a show participant?
A: A camera operator died along with a pilot and contestant earlier this year during production of a reality show for Discovery Networks. There are several career tracks for wannabe camera operators, but there's no premium for working in reality TV and there are plenty of challenges even on a premium reality show like "Survivor."
Q: Since Ryan Buell from "Paranormal State" is doing better, is there a chance that he will have another show? His was the best of all the ghost shows and it is very much missed.
A: Here's what Ryan wrote in an email to me: "Right upfront I can tell you that my surgery was a success (so far) and I am healing nicely. It's still a lot to process, and talking about this disease has been something I've shied away from, mainly because while I was in the middle of it I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up, especially mine. I suppose you could say I was a little superstitious! And it's funny you emailed this when you did because I was just out in L.A. taking meetings about returning to TV and things are looking good."
