OGDEN -- Eight occupants of a home were displaced Friday after the house caught on fire.
According to a news release from the Ogden City Fire Department, the fire started around 7:30 a.m., at 118 W. Ray St. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the back of the home and quickly extinguished the fire. Crews estimated damage to the house at $10,000.
The Utah Red Cross was called in to help the eight occupants of the home, but they will be staying with relatives until the home is livable.
The Ogden City Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, according to the release.
