Systems back-logged, yet inmates get benefits

In response to the front-page news story of July 21, “Criminals qualifying for benefits,” my sister had a stroke in February and still has been unable to get help with disability because programs are back-logged. Why do inmates get in before people who actually need the assistance?

This is just another sign of how broken and corrupt our government programs our. This is America and we are smarter than this. We need to look closely at who we elect in the future to see if they really have Americans and our rights on the agenda or their own pockets.
