'Disney' characters in Cherry Days Parade 'awesome'

Jul 23 2013 - 3:28pm

I want to thank a group of young people who entered an awesome float in the North Ogden Cherry Days Parade. Ideas floating in one's head became beautiful, functioning designs. Their combined talents and creativity and their dedication in helping this all come to fruition was nothing short of inspiring. The float was designed with a castle and some 35 "Disney" characters----princesses, princes, fairies and villains----dancing on and walking beside the float, waving and interacting with the children,  giving all a wonderfully fun experience.

After the parade, the characters went to the Kids Corner at the North Ogden Park, where they played games with and entertained children for another two and one-half hour.  These young people wanted to create something special this 4th of July, but I don't think any of them really knew just how special it would turn out.

You were awesome! You were marvelous! You were beautiful!  Thank you so much for the wonderful, "make-believe" feelings you gave us all.
