TREMONTON -- A man was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon.
Timothy Williams, 66, of Oregon, was traveling on his motorcycle eastbound on Interstate 84 near Tremonton and was turning off at Exit 40, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
The bike drifted to the left onto the shoulder into a gravel bed.
Williams overcorrected and lost control of the bike, which tipped onto its side, throwing him off.
He was transported to Bear River Valley Hospital, then flown to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden with serious leg and torso injuries. Speed or driving under the influence do not appear to be contributing factors in the accident, which is still under investigation.
