Ogden man missing on camping trip found

The Cache County Sheriff's Office has found a 21-year-old Ogden man who had been missing for nearly 24 hours.

Jerry Gilbert Stevie Duran went missing around at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Curtis Creek area.

He was camping with family when he apparently got into an argument and left the camp.

The Sheriff's Office was dispatched about 3 a.m. Thursday to find the missing camper. As of 6 a.m. four search and rescue teams have been searching the Six-bit area, about 13 miles southeast of Hardware Ranch.

Sheriff deputies found Duran walking on the main road near the Anderson Ranch at approximately 4:45 p.m.. He was reported to be hungry but in good condition.

He has a diminished mental capacity due to a previous traumatic brain injury and functions on the level of a 7-year-old, according to a police report.
