PROVO -- A house fire has put a damper on a Provo couple's plans for a backyard wedding for their daughter.
Steve and Connie Law say Friday's fire burned their garage and destroyed items they were going to use for the Sept. 13 wedding for their 23-year-old daughter, JenNessa.
They told the Deseret News the fire also burned a portion of their house and they don't know where they're going to hold the wedding now.
JenNessa Law says the only item that was saved was her wedding dress, which was at a shop being altered.
The fire also destroyed antiques in two trunks that came from Norway in 1883.
Fire investigators told KTVX-TV that the fire was caused by spontaneous combustion from dirty rags that were used to stain a deck for the wedding.
The 4:30 a.m. blaze caused an estimated $150,000 in damage.STORY:201307290042Provo house fire dampens backyard wedding plans/Local/2013/07/29/Provo-house-fire-dampens-backyard-wedding-plans.html-1
