Wow, lots of great news this a.m. for a city that boasts one of the best jock-towns in the U.S. Are you listening Boulder, Colo.? Where to start...there's no water for the residents of Ogden Canyon (Aug. 1, "Ogden Canyon residents still having water pressure woes"), this is a huge problem but will have to take a back seat while the "city" decides if we can have chickens (Aug. 1, "Ordinance ruffles feathers"). Yup, it has to be true, I cannot make this stuff up. A really big fight in the early morning at a Riverdale parking lot took place a few days ago (July 30, "Police investigate large early-morning fight in Riverdale"). Fourteen were arrested and almost a half-million dollars in drugs were recovered (Aug. 1,"Meth bust nets 14 arrests"). Yet, the church won't let us have a drink before dinner.
Salt Lake expanded its "Bicycle Share" ride program downtown; it's a huge success. Are you listening Ogden? Think about how many bicycles it could have purchased with $275,000 at three Walmarts in adjacent downtown. And, while I'm thinking about it, why don't we have a bicycle share program in Ogden?
Move to Ogden; Boulder, you just don't have a chance!
