As of August 2, Congress is taking a five week vacation. Well, my question is, for doing what, besides impeding the country from going forward, and creating a chaotic environment in Washington for one and all? Don't they understand that if we all would do as little as they have done, we would all have lost our jobs? Yet, much less they're given a five-week vacation! Why aren't they staying on their jobs until something is agreed upon in order to move us out of the ditch they themselves help drive us into?
All of us who pay their salaries should call and tell them how we truly feel, then vote against them if they continue with their shenanigans.
We have no one to blame but ourselves, and we get what we deserve. Workers from all walks of life are affected by the sequester, yet those in Congress don't get touched by it while they continue to go along their merry way for the next five weeks.
Let us not let these scoundrels get away with doing what's best for their party, instead of what's best for the country and its citizens. If we don't vote, it's our fault as to what they do, and how they do it.
