LAYTON -- City leaders have approved the rezone of 2.19 acres of land on the city's west side from agricultural to a residential suburban (R-S) zone.
Council members voted unanimously at a recent meeting to rezone property at 850 North and 3200 West from A to R-S. The property is divided into five lots, all exceeding the minimum square footage of 15,000 square feet for an R-S zone, according to Bill Wright, director of community and economic development.
The property is owned by Darrell Farr. A concept plan for the site shows five-single family lots for potential development.
A hearing on the rezone drew no public comment.
City officials have already worried about potential parking for the project and talked about addressing safety concerns for backing onto 3200 West from the probable development for homeowners as a development propos
