OGDEN -- The Ogden police and fire departments are inviting residents to Ogden's block party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Ogden Amphitheater.
The free event, open to the public, will provide food, games and prizes for the entire family.
The 30th Annual National Night Out Against Crime is an opportunity for residents to meet and mingle with law enforcement officials, emergency service personnel, firefighters, search-and-rescue workers and citizen emergency response teams from throughout Weber County.
Ogden City Police Lt. Kevin Cottrell is encouraging residents to join together for this celebration of safety and unity.
"It's a great opportunity to build partnerships and healthy relationships between law enforcement and community, and most importantly send a message to criminals letting them know that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back."
