SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Jazz announced the team's 2013-14 regular season schedule on Tuesday.

The Jazz will tip off its 40th NBA campaign against the Northwest Division rival Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 30 at EnergySolutions Arena. Utah's road opener comes two days later at the Phoenix Suns on Nov. 1, and five of the first seven games overall are scheduled away from home. The regular season will conclude in Minnesota on April 16.

The 2013-14 opener will mark the second straight season that the Jazz opens at home, having defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 113-94, on Oct. 31, 2012, to open the 2012-13 season. The Jazz has not opened at home in consecutive years since doing it four straight seasons from 2003-06.

The Jazz will start a season against the Thunder for the fifth time in franchise history and first since the 1996-97 opener, when the Thunder were still known as the Seattle SuperSonics. Previous season openers with the Sonics/Thunder franchise include the 1984-85, 1988-89, 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons, with all but the 1984 meeting taking place in Utah. The Jazz and Thunder will also meet in the preseason in Oklahoma City on Oct. 12.

The Jazz will play all Eastern Conference teams twice each and Western Conference teams four times apiece, with the exception of four out-of-division Western Conference teams which it will face just three times. The four teams include: Houston and Sacramento (two home, one road) and the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis (one home, two road).

Utah's month-by-month break down includes one game in October (at home), 17 games in November (seven home, 10 road), 16 games in December (seven home, nine road), 12 games in January (eight home, four road), 12 games in February (seven home, five road), 17 games in March (seven home, 10 road) and seven games in April (four home, three road). The 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend will take place Feb. 14-16 in New Orleans.

Utah is scheduled to appear on national television five times overall during the 2013-14 campaign, including three ESPN broadcasts (Jan. 15 at San Antonio, Jan. 31 vs. Golden State, March 26 vs. Memphis) and two NBA TV broadcasts (Nov. 11 vs. Denver and Nov. 25 vs. Chicago). All Jazz preseason, regular-season and playoff games will be broadcast live on radio on The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM/97.5 FM) and the Jazz Radio Network. A complete television broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.

Other home games of note include the two-time defending NBA Champion Miami Heat (February 8), two home games against Western Conference Champion San Antonio (November 15, December 14), the L.A. Clippers' only appearance in Salt Lake City on March 14, and the L.A. Lakers' two visits on December 27 and for the regular season home finale on April 14.

2013-14 season ticket packages are currently on sale. Jazz mini-packages will go on sale August 12 at 10 a.m. MT at utahjazz.com or by phone at (801) 355-DUNK.
