WEST VALLEY CITY -- Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 28-year-old West Valley City man accused of posing as an officer and raping a woman last month.
Authorities say C.J. Christiansen is accused of visiting the home of a woman he'd met on a telephone dating service, telling her he was an officer and handcuffing her.
The woman told police he refused to show a badge and then sexually assaulted and raped her.
Police wrote in a search warrant that they had the woman call Christiansen back as part of the investigation. She told him she didn't think he was a police officer, and he reportedly said he was and would arrest her for prostitution if she reported him.
Christiansen is charged with rape, impersonating a peace officer and other crimes.
