Frank V. Sullivan, 78, of Farmington, Utah, passed away at the Orchard Park Care Center in Orem, Utah, on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.

Frank was born in Rupert, Idaho, to Carl and Marie Sullivan.He attended schools in Rupert. On June 2, 1952, he joined the Idaho National Guard.On April 7, 1955, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a soldier in Battery "B" Field Artillery Battalion until he was honorably discharged in 1957.

He started working on the railroad in Nevada in 1958.He lived and worked in Winnemucca and Elko (Stockman's Inn) until he retired.Upon retirement, he moved to Utah to be near his family.He attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Laytonand lived at the Rose Cove Apartments in Farmington for many years.

Frank leaves behind his son, Brian, daughter-in-law, Shan, and three grandchildren, Max, Grace and Lilly, of Lehi, Utah.He is survived by three sisters: Jean Ryan, Hazel Tracy, and Patty Seeley.He has many nieces and nephews who will miss him and his friendly manner.

Frank loved watching baseball games and visited the San Francisco Giants stadium, the Oakland A's stadium, the Colorado Rockies stadium.He attended all the Layton Girls' Softball games for many years.All the teams were great to him, dedicated a yearbook to him and gave him the title of their "Greatest Fan."

A funeral Mass will be held for Frank on Friday, August 16, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Rupert, Idaho.Frank was an avid reader; it is requested that any remembrance, in Frank's name, be directed to the DeMary Public Library in Rupert, Idaho.The family would like to thank the Davis Hospital staff, Rocky Mountain Care Center, and the Orchard Park Care Center for the support given to Frank.
