SOUTH WEBER -- Significant delays are expected for South Weber Drive as Utah Department of Transportation crews have begun work to repair sidewalk, remove and replace pedestrian ramps, repair soft spots and potholes, and resurface the top layer of asphalt.
During the work, which began Thursday, the road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
At times, the road will be reduced to one-way traffic and flaggers, and a pilot vehicle will convey traffic around the work.
Sidewalks and shoulders may also be closed during construction, but pedestrian access will be maintained. Construction is scheduled to be concluded by October.
