SUNSET -- An accident on southbound Interstate 15 snarled the Monday morning commute.
Utah Highway Patrol trooper J. Heslop said a trailer being hauled by a truck flipped near mile post 337, around 8 a.m. As the driver was merging onto southbound I-15 at the 5600 South entrance in Roy, his trailer was weaving. That eventually caused the driver to lose control, though no one was hurt.
Traffic was in gridlock for several miles behind the accident, which Heslop said was cleared by around 9:45 a.m.
The truck crashed into a cable barrier, which sparked a small grass fire on the side of the interstate, Heslop said. Fire crews easily extinguished the blaze, which burned about 50 yards.
