Paul and LuAnn Hillier Garrett of Ogden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children, grandchildren and siblings. A family luncheon was held at the Comfort Suites Inn in Ogden with many activities to follow, including an ATV trip in central Utah.
They were married Aug. 16, 1963, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
He graduated from Davis High School and Weber State College. He worked in the upholstery business for several years and later retired from Hill Air Force Base as a program analyst with 37 years of service.
She graduated from Ogden High School and earned an associate degree from Weber State University. After raising a family, she retired from HAFB, working in procurement as a contracting officer with 22 years of service.
They fill their time with many activities, including service to their church and community.
Their children and spouses are Dr. Brian and Shauna Garrett, Jeffersonville, Ind.; Donna and Alan Chase, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Michael and Carolie Garrett, Spring, Texas; and Christine and Richard Ericson, Parker, Colo. They have 18 grandchildren; one is deceased.
