Ashlee Marie Beaman Phillips

Aug 20 2013 - 6:11pm

Ashlee's earthly life ended on August 17, 2013 at McKay-Dee Hospital after a sudden illness. She miraculously survived a complicated heart surgery in February 2012 and had struggled to regain her health over the last year.

Ashlee was born on July 15, 1980 to Jeanlee Frost Beaman Carver and Chuck Beaman who anticipated her birth with great joy. We then welcomed Ashlee's brother, Chas Michael whom Ashlee loved and protected, without hesitation throughout her life.

Ashlee was cherished and cared for by her late stepfather, Greg Carver for many years.

Ash resided in South Ogden most of her life attending Mar Lon Hills Elementary, South Ogden Junior High and Bonneville High School, graduating in 1997. She attended the Academy of Nursing in Salt Lake City and achieved her certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. Her dream was to become a helicopter transport nurse but life and health interfered with her accomplishing that goal.

Ashlee began working at 14 years-old, bussing tables at a local restaurant with her friend, Jamie Brown. She was employed over the years at The Christmas Box House, Ogden Regional Medical Center, and the Internal Revenue Service. Ashy was extremely intelligent and possessed an unequaled memory. She often reminded her mother of things that had happened 30 years prior.

Ash married Kyle Phillips on July 21, 2005. Her greatest delight was the birth of their daughter, Brylee. Kyle and Ashlee were later divorced but remained friends and were committed to providing Brylee with a peaceful life surrounded by love. Ashlee was grateful for her new-found love, Jay Hurd. They enjoyed spending family time together with Brylee and Jay's children Jared, Jayden and Rylie.

Ashlee was a lovely auburn-haired, green-eyed young woman who never realized her own beauty. She was unique, and strangers often commented on her beautiful natural curls. Ashlee was a giver and her last selfless act was organ donation by providing the gift of life and sight for others

Ashy was preceded in death by her grandparents Julian T. Frost, John and Dorothy Beaman, step-father Gregory Carver, and her aunt Nancy B. Richards. She is survived by her parents, her brother, her daughter, Grandma Frost-Walker, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Our family would like to extend a special thanks to the South Ogden City Police and EMS especially Officers DeHart, McNeely and Detective Schultz who provided instant care to Ashlee when called upon by Brylee. We appreciate Dispatchers Sharma and Penny who responded to a little girl's call for help. As a family we would also like to express our thanks to the McKay-Dee Hospital's Emergency Department and Intensive

Care Unit physician's and staff, especially Dr. Lane, Dr. Hoffman, Dr. Kim, and nurses Mack, and Brenda.

A Celebration of Ashlee's life will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden.

Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com.
