PARK CITY -- Officials say a wildfire in Summit County that burned eight homes and forced several hundred people to evacuate has been completely contained.
Fire officials said the Rockport Fire was 100 percent contained Tuesday, a week after it broke out near Park City and charred about 3 square miles.
More than 100 residents displaced by the fire were allowed back in Monday morning.
The state's biggest blaze, the Patch Springs Fire southwest of Salt Lake City, was 71 percent contained Tuesday.
It has burned more than 48 square miles but hasn't grown much since Saturday.
The fire burned a historic lodge and eight travel trailers near Willow Springs, four of which were primary homes.
