BOUNTIFUL -- Realignment has caused an old nemesis for certain Region 1 schools to return to the fold.
The re-introduction of the Viewmont Vikings back into the region has made for some intriguing matchups and made the coaching staff rethink their previous ways of doing things.
Changes in the offseason program as well as a change in some personnel will allow for third year head coach Brad Lloyd to get better in certain aspects with the change back into the new/old region.
Players like senior running back Riley Rohloff, senior wide receiver/defensive back Ben Peterson and senior tight end Aaron Dalton will look to help Lloyd in winning some region games and trying to make the playoffs. There are also some key returning lineman, led by Dallin Tracy, which will look to open up those holes for Rohloff to run through.
The quarterback position is unsettled with three players vying for the starting job as signal caller.
Those things hope to be sorted out when the Vikings host the Bonneville Lakers on Friday night in what could prove to be their first big test of the season under these new changes.
