Defensive driving classes, four-hour defensive driving courses for individuals in the Ogden area, 8 a.m.-noon, two Saturdays per month; 6-10 p.m., one Tuesday per month. Drivers may complete the course for a 50-point reduction from their Utah driving record, once every three years. $40 per person, or $10 for those age 55 and over who are seeking a reduction in their insurance rate. NAMI of Davis County BRIDGES recovery course will be begin at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the DATC Campus, 550 E. 300 South, Kaysville. This 10-week course is designed to bring people together to share their experience and knowledge of mental illness to empower each other to build recovery. Fun Run to benefit George E. Wahlen Veterans Home, 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12. This is a 5K run or 1 mile walk. Entry fee is $25 by Sept. 30 or $30 to register on the day of the event. Entry fee includes T-shirt, post race refreshments and prize drawings. Free child care will be available. The race begins at the George E.
