PROVO -- Firefighters say a 70-year-old woman is dead after her home in Provo went up in flames.
Provo fire Capt. Dean York says crews responded to the home about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and put out the flames in about half an hour. Officials say they found the woman dead in the upstairs portion of the split-level home.
The Daily Herald reports she had limited mobility and had suffered several strokes in the past few years.
Authorities tell the newspaper the woman's son lived in the basement, but wasn't home when the fire started.
