PROVO -- A Provo woman has pleaded guilty to reduced charges stemming from an apartment fire that killed two people in 2011.
Forty-seven-year-old Yvette Kimber pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter, one count of arson and one count of aggravated assault on Wednesday. She originally faced two counts of murder and one count of aggravated arson.
Kimber is accused of setting a fire March 14, 2011, at The Boulders apartments. Karen Murray and Catherine Crane died in the blaze, while a third woman, Jeanette Spahr, was seriously injured when she jumped from the building.
Spahr died about a year later.
Kimber reportedly told police she was suicidal and consumed pills, alcohol and marijuana before setting her furniture ablaze.
She's set to be sentenced on Oct. 4.
