Agnes Vera Davis

WILLARD - Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend, Agnes Vera Johnson Davis, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 22, 1920 in Edgemont, South Dakota, a daughter of Jessie Merle and Lenore Wickersham Johnson.
Agnes attended and graduated from Bethel Nursing School in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Northern Utah area for several years.
She married Harold McLeod in Raton, New Mexico.They had two children, Karen Sue and Harry Lee.Their parents later divorced.Agnes married William V. Davis on February 3, 1949 in Hot Springs, South Dakota.They had five children, Kathy, Kent, Keith, Kirk and Kreg. William preceded her in death on August 15, 2012. After they became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 29, 1957.
She had served as a Relief Society President and loved to sing in the choir.She also was the coordinatorfor the blood drive and cannery specialist.
The family would like to thank Alison Johnson and all of Alis' Angels who took wonderful care of our mother.
Surviving are seven children, Karen Sue Guertin, Harry Lee (Ha) McLeod, Kathy (John) Olson, Kent William (Jean) Davis, Keith Vincent (Cindy) Davis, Kirk Andrew Davis, Kreg Daniel (Jan) Davis; 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Bob Corbett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill, siblings, Eleanor, Clara, Joyce, Merle and one grandson, Daniel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Willard Stake Center, 8280 South Highway 89, Willard, Utah.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and on Thursday at the Willard Stake Center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
