Jack and Maxine Green

Jack and Maxine Nelson Green of Roy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and his 80th birthday. They celebrated in July with a family vacation to Hawaii.
They were married on Aug. 21, 1953, in Roosevelt. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
He was born on Aug. 22, 1933, in Tooele to Ruie A. and Evelyn Ayers Green. He graduated from Roosevelt High School.
She was born in Roosevelt to Henry L. and Enid Weeks Nelson. She graduated from Union High School and Stevens-Henager College.
They are active members of the LDS Church, serving in many ward and stake callings. They also served as ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple until its closing.
Their children are Chris Green, Roy; Jan Stanger, Harrisville; and Toni and Brett Perkins, West Point.
They have 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
