OGDEN -- Police rounded up three suspects who allegedly intended to sell methamphetamine in residential areas.

Early Sunday morning, just after midnight, officers pulled over driver Stanton Powell and passenger Eladio Ornelas for a traffic violation on the 2200 block of Adams Avenue, Ogden Lt. Chad Ledford said.

The officer saw a silver handgun between the driver's and passenger's seats, which prompted an investigation of the vehicle.

A bag of meth and a bag of marijuana were found in the vehicle. Ornelas was arrested for possession of meth with an intent to sell, and possession of a firearm by a restricted person. Powell was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.

Another man was arrested a few hours later in Liberty Park.

Officers saw the man in the park around 5 a.m. when the park was closed. They went to investigate and found he was carrying a large amount of meth along with paraphernalia. His charges were enhanced because he was in a drug-free zone.
