2 of 3 shot in WVC park released from hospital
WEST VALLEY CITY -- West Valley City police say two of three people who were shot in a park Wednesday night have been released from a hospital.
Sgt. Jason Hauer says two groups of people met at the park near Parkway Boulevard at 3400 West on Wednesday to settle a dispute, but at some point it escalated to gunfire.
Hauer says two adults and a minor were struck by bullets.
They were hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
The minor and one of the adults were released by Thursday morning.
Hauer tells KSL-TV that investigators have no suspects in custody.
Police believe there may have been only one shooter at the incident, which they say may be gang-related.
