Regarding the Sept. 9 news article, "Police oppose legal use of pot," the police are not experts in social science, public policy or medicine, so why interview them as if their opinion on legal cannabis means a hill of beans? The biggest impact is that they might lose some drug war funding and can no longer arrest people for using a plant or hike around the woods and look for these same plants growing. This is all easy work for police.
It is much harder to deal with real criminals or attempt to solve real crimes, but the fact is that is what they are there for. They seem have forgotten the whole "serve and protect" mantra and are concerned with keeping their funding and kush jobs than doing real work.
