She wasborn Sept. 14, 1933, in Salt LakeCity to Charles and MargaretGrob. After graduating fromGranite High School in 1951, shemarried Jerry Naylor on April17, 1952, in The Church of JesusChrist of Latter-day Saints SaltLake Temple.
She was a Navy wife for thefirst four years of their marriedlives while he served in the KoreanWar. They moved to Ogdenon April 1, 1956, and she providedvaluable support during thestart of their company NorthernUtah Glass, now Valley Glass.
They are the parents of fivechildren: Debbie Smith, MarcNaylor, Shauna Rhoades, GarthNaylor and Heather Kirby. Theyhave 20 grandchildren and 25great-grandchildren.
She served as Pleasant View2nd Ward Relief Society presidenttwo times, president ofthe Young Women’s organization,was in Weber State Collegestake Relief Society presidency,a gospel doctrine teacher in thePleasant View 8th Ward andserved with her husband in theWashington D.C. North Mission,the Washington D.C. TempleVisitors’ Center and the MountPleasant branch Inner-cityWashington D.C. missions.
She has volunteered at McKay-Dee Hospital Center.
