Clyde and Elsie Landon of Ogden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by visiting their daughter and family in Santa Rosa, Calif.
They were married Aug. 7, 1963, in McCall, Idaho. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on Jan. 30, 1969. They continue to be active members and have held several positions in their wards.
They enjoy camping with friends and family. Square dancing became an important activityfor almost 25 years. They enjoy spending time with family and friends.
He was born and raised in the high mountain country of Colorado and moved to Utah in 1954 while working as a telegraph operator for the RioGrande Railroad.
Recently his first book was published. It is a nonfiction lovestory of a boy and his dog entitled,“His Name is Guck.”
She was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to Ogden in 1945. She is a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Her family says they dearly love her.
Their six children and their spouses are Linda and JayThomas, Ogden; Scott and Elaine Dwire, Salt Lake City; Jackie Luca, Escondido, Calif.; Rich Huddleston, Escondido, Calif.; Hal Huddleston, Ogden; and Annette Connelly, Santa Rosa, Calif.
They have 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
