WilsonErnest “Ernie”WilsonJr. of Roy celebratedhis80th birthdaywith friendsand family onSept. 5.

He wasborn on Sept.5, 1933, inOgden to ErnestWilsonand Ruby Henstra. He graduatedfrom Ogden High Schooland served in the Army for twoyears.

He was married to Vera JeanBlack in 1957, and they hadtwo daughters. He later marriedMarilyn Colvin in 1977 andbrought three children in thefamily. They have been marriedfor 36 years.

His children are Diane W.and Doug McCann, Marilyn W.Barker, Steve and Denise Colvin,Wes and Natalie Colvin, andPam C. and Adam Gardner.

He worked as a brick masonfor 50 years.

He still enjoys golf, gardeningand bowling. One of hisgreatest accomplishments isbowling, as he won the UtahU.S. Open in 1985 to 1986. Hewas inducted into the bowlingHall of Fame in 1985.

He has 24 grandchildren and14 great-grandchildren.
