1963, Claire and Judy Bowcutt of Tremonton were united in marriage. Their marriage took place in Garland, and their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oakland California Temple.
A luncheon for family and friends will be held in their honor from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Hampton Ford Gardens in Collinston.
The youngest of three children, he was born to Rudy and Lulu Bowcutt of Garland. He grew up working in the family grocery store, Rudy's IGA, in Garland. Upon graduating from Bear River High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, he continued achieving a degree from Utah State University. His career has taken him to Del Monte in San Francisco and Nucor in Plymouth. He presently manages Ogden Litho.
The third of five children, she was born to Stan and June Bowcutt. She grew up in Ogden and Tremonton, and also graduated from Bear River High School and USU. She taught school in the Box Elder School District for many years and is now retired.
They have enjoyed and supported their children and grandchildren in their endeavors.
When they are not working in their yard, they enjoy spending time with family at their property in Idaho.
They have six children, seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren with one on the way.
