HEBER CITY -- The manager of a McDonald's restaurant who claimed she was robbed has been arrested after police say she staged the crime.
Heber City police say 34-year-old Patricia Johnson reported the robbery Sunday afternoon, saying she was approached by a man with a gun while walking to her car in the parking lot of the Heber City restaurant.
Johnson told police the man threatened her and stole the restaurant's $4,000 cash deposit, which she was carrying.
Police on Monday now say they believe she worked with three other people to stage the robbery and steal the money.
Police recovered most of the money and arrested Johnson and three others: 51-year-old Marty Marrott, 48-year-old Peggy Rohrbach and 36-year-old Jaime Allred.
All four are facing charges of theft and making a false report.
