Juergen G. and JoAnn Parker Mudrow of Hooper celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5 and attended the Logan Temple. Later they were joined by their eight children and their spouses and the 30 grandchildren for a weekend outing at Bear Lake.
They were married on Sept. 5, 1963, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
He was born on June 25, 1938, in Germany to Walter and Ida Mudrow and immigrated to Ogden in 1954. He is a graduate of Weber College, Utah State University and the University of Minnesota.
She was born on June 26, 1942, in Hooper to D. Fay and Vida Parker. She is a graduate of Weber High School and Weber College.
For 35 years, the couple resided in Toledo, Ohio, where he was a professor and administrator at the University of Toledo.
Active members of the LDS Church, both have held many ward and stake positions, and especially enjoyed the almost 10-year callings as ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple until it closed for remodeling.
Last year he ended 50 years of service as a nationally known soccer referee, and assessor and administrator.
Their children and spouses are Michael and Ruth Mudrow, Logan; Gregory and Kellie Mudrow, Syracuse; Stephen and Lori Mudrow, Roy; Mark and Stephanie Mudrow, Hooper; Paul and Jayme Mudrow, South Jordan; Christopher and Julie Mudrow, Riverdale; Elizabeth and Jared Peterson, Riverdale; and Sarah and Ben McClurg, Eagle Mountain.
